Celebrity designer Manish Malhotra’s father passed away on Monday, 18 November. According to Times of India, he was in his early 90s and had been unwell for a while. Several Bollywood celebrities were spotted outside Manish Malhotra’s home in Bandra as they arrived to pay their condolences. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is close to the family, and veteran actor Shabana Azmi were among the first to arrive. Boney Kapoor, Sophie Choudry, Urmila Matondkar, David Dhawan and Malhotra’s nephew Puneet were also present for the last rites. Jaya and Shweta Bachchan, Malaika and Amrita Arora, Farah Khan and Kareena Kapoor were also later seen offering their condolences.
The funeral and last rites of the designer’s father were performed at a crematorium in Santacruz on 18 November.
