Sahara India Pariwar held a felicitation ceremony for world badminton champion PV Sindhu. The event was hosted by Sahara founder and chairman Subhrata Roy. In August, PV Sindhu became India's first badminton world champion, defeating Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara at the final in Basel, Switzerland. Subhrata felicitated her himself.
Among the celebrities present at the ceremony were Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek Bachchan, PM Narendra Modi star Vivek Oberoi with father Suresh Oberoi, Raveena Tandon, veteran actors Prem Chopra, Raj Babbar, Jeetendra, Neetu Chandra, Bhumika Chawla filmmakers Govind Nihalani, Madhur Bhandarkar, singer Anup Jalota, musician Anu Malik and many more.
Notably Abhishek and Vivek, who had dated Abhishek’s wife Aishwarya Rai, were seen hugging each other and being amicable at the event.
