Star striker Sunil Chhetri extended his goal-scoring riches in a rare-found victory for the Indian football team. Chhetri bagged a brace as India beat Thailand 4-1 in their AFC Asian Cup 2019 opener in Abu Dhabi – India’s first win in the competition since 1964. The twin goals also saw the 34-year-old overtake Lionel Messi as the second-highest goal-scorer in international football among active players with 67 goals, behind only Cristiano Ronaldo.
