The trailer of Mission Mangal is out and like we know, the film has five female characters whose roles are as important as that of Akshay Kumar. But the poster of the film is dominated by Akshay. At the trailer launch when Akshay was asked about the poster he said, “We are very happy about the poster, and like I always said this film belongs to these ladies.” Vidya Balan came for his rescue and jokingly added that Akshay covers most part of the poster because “men are from Mars.”
Akshay introduced his co actors Vidya Balan, Kirti Kulhari, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu and Nithya Menen on stage during the trailer launch and also shared some behind the scene stories from the sets of the film. He jokes how he became a dabbawala for the ladies on the sets. He would get lunch for them and they would happily give him a list of things they would want to eat. He even said, “At one point I think Twinkle was thinking how much is this man eating, but the truth is it was not for me but for all these women.”
Meanwhile Vidya Balan brushed aside the notion that female actors always get into catfights with each other. Vidya said they all are ‘secure actors’.
I like being around male energy, but I must say that this was so much fun. You know this is speculated, ‘Oh there are five actresses. Jokingly, she added, “The only person that we had a problem was this guy (Akshay) when he didn’t bring food for us.”
