This baby elephant at a rescue elephant farm in Thailand just couldn’t help itself from expressing its love for a woman who visited the farm. The jumbo first tried to fit on to her lap, and later cuddled her, all the while tickling her with its trunk.
Kerala Jumbo Rescued
Baby elephants are cute, but sometimes, their mischief can get them into trouble.
Last week, Thattekad near Urulanthanni River in Kerala saw a dramatic scene unfold after a baby elephant got stuck in a well while trying to cross a river. The little one tried and failed to get climb out and rejoin its herd.
Luckily, villagers and forest officials spotted the elephant and rushed to its rescue. The humans quickly came to the elephant’s rescue. In a five-hour-long operation, rescuers used a mechanical digger to clear the earth into a ramp like structure from one side of the well so the calf could climb out.
