Trump Fires Back After Washington Post Decides to Investigate Him
Donald Trump hits back at the American daily and alleges political vendetta against him.
Washington Post has set up a sizeable team of twenty journalists to investigate and dig into every aspect of Donald Trump’s life after he emerged as the presumptive presidential nominee of the Republican Party.
This was ascertained by Post Associate Editor Bob Woodward said during the convention of the National Association of Realtors on Wednesday.
Woodward asserted that he has himself started looking after the New York real estate deals of Trump rationalising his decision by adding that the New York real estate world is more complex than the CIA.
There’s a lot we don’t know. We have 20 people working on Trump, we’re going to do a book, we’re doing articles about every phase of his life.Bob Woodward
The American daily on Wednesday carried multiple stories on Trump, including taking a dig on his “sex talk” on Howard Stern’s radio show 15 years ago.
Trump in his usual style, was quick to hit back.
In an interview to Fox News on Thursday night, Trump slammed Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who recently bought The Washington Post and alleged that he is using the newspaper for “political purposes.”
This (Washington Post) is owned as a toy by Jeff Bezos, who controls Amazon. Amazon is getting away with murder, tax-wise. He’s using the Washington Post for power so that the politicians in Washington don’t tax Amazon like they should be taxed.Donald Trump
“He’s using the Washington Post... for political purposes to save Amazon in terms of taxes and in terms of antitrust,” he added.
Trump not only attacked Bezos for political vendetta, but also lashed out at the ridiculous questions that the newspaper reporters have been asking him over the phone.
