Huawei, the Chinese tech giant has been under constant fire from the US, since it was blacklisted by the US and was ripped off of its Android license from Google as a ripple effect.

However, its not all so bad for the company towards the east, since Russia has given the company a go-ahead to build its 5G network, in partnership with MTS, the country’s largest mobile operator. The deal comes at a time when Chinese premier Xi Jinping is on a three-day visit to Moscow.

The Verge, quoting Russian President Vladimir Putin as telling news agency TASS that the corporation between the two countries is now at an unprecedently high level.

The deal echoes Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei who, in an interview in February, said that “if the lights go out in the West, the East will still shine [...] America doesn’t represent the world. America only represents a portion of the world.”

US President Donald Trump, who is on a visit to Ireland has also expressed his concern with the UK country. Trump said Ireland shares US concerns that allowing China's Huawei Technologies to help build communications networks threatens global security.

The US is constantly pressing its longtime allies to ban the tech giant amid concerns that China will use the company to conduct espionage and obtain data.
