Lili Lo, a beauty and fashion blogger from Kazan, Russia, who suffers from McCune-Albright syndrome, has become an inspiration to thousands of her YouTube and Instagram followers.

The syndrome is a complex genetic disorder affecting skin and bones, wherein normal bone tissue is replaced with areas of abnormal fibrous growth, according to WebMD. Her condition, however, hasn’t stopped her from becoming an internet celebrity in her own right.

Two years ago, Lo decided to channel her passion into action and start her own YouTube channel.

I began to make myself up at 17. I liked it a lot from the very beginning. I finished a special course, liked it a lot. And I thought why not? I can do it. I can even launch my own channel.

She became a hit after someone reposted one of her videos on the VKontakte social network with an offensive comment. After that, people began to visit her YouTube channel, and the videos became increasingly popular. During the past two years, her posts on YouTube have been watched over six million times.

Lili lives with her mother, Alfiya Lutfrahmanova, who is happy to have her own makeup artist.

She tells me off every day if I’m being lazy and don’t apply a mask. I guess I won’t ever get old with her help.
