One of World’s Smallest Babies Celebrates Her Original Due Date

The adorable tiny tot in the video is E’Layah Faith. Born a premature baby, Faith is still in Carolinas Medical Center where she celebrated her original due date. The center in Charlotte, North Carolina got together on Thursday, over three months after the child was born.

Baby Faith weighed 283 grams and was 25.4 centimetres (10 inches) tall when she was born on September 23. Since birth, the baby has fought for her life under strict observation by doctors in the hospital. Reports say, the medical team was originally not sure Faith was actually going to make it.

At the time this report is being filed, E’Layah was spending time in the medical centre’s Levine Children’s Hospital. Her parents, Megan Smith and Eric Pegues, are expected to take their daughter home sometime in the next few weeks.
