If Donald Trump offering Hollywood star Emma Thompson “comfortable accommodation” in one of his plush towers wasn’t creepy and hilarious enough for you, Salma Hayek’s story will make you ROFL. The Hollywood actress narrated, in all her animated glory, how she landed up in the awkward situation with the US President, on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. This time, Mr Trump asked her out by telling her that she deserved better than her then boyfriend! But Salma tells it better.
He (Donald Trump) didn’t try and come and grab me, for sure! I was a bit cold and he put his jacket on me from behind. I turned around and my boyfriend turned around - [Donald Trump was] so charming, so nice. He said hello, he presented himself, super nice - he said ‘I’m sorry, your girlfriend, I’m sorry, she was cold.’ Anyway, and then he kept talking to my boyfriend... and then he befriended my boyfriend and invited him to dinner afterwards, to go where he was going and we went - and the whole time he was talking to my boyfriend. And then [Donald Trump] was like, ‘If you guys are in New York you can come to Atlantic City, you can stay in my hotel. Give me your numbers.’ [He] never talked to my boyfriend again. Now he’s calling and he’s inviting me out and I said ‘What about my boyfriend? Am I crazy? Are you asking me out? You know I have a boyfriend. He’s not good enough for you. Being the sport that Hayek is, she laughed at the idea that Trump was right about her boyfriend, since she didn’t end up marrying him.
