Donald Trump Jr’s Tweet Backfires, Gets Schooled on ‘Socialism’
Trump Jr tweeted a picture of his daughter with her Halloween candy box, saying he would teach her ‘socialism’.
US President Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr tweeted a picture of his daughter with her Halloween candy box, saying he would teach her 'socialism' by taking away half of her candies and distributing it to other kids.
Twitter was quick to rebuke his definition of 'socialism' and criticised him for using the trick-or-treat custom as an opportunity to make a political point.
Some mocked Trump Jr on the wealth he inherited from his ancestors. Harry Potter author J K Rowling joined the bandwagon of those criticizing him.
While some took this opportunity to criticise Donald Trump’s tax reforms, the others had to pull in Russia amidst its alleged ties with Trump’s campaign.
And then there were some who just agreed that sharing was indeed a good turn.
Earlier in 2016, Trump Jr had compared Syrian refugees to a bowl of poisoned skittles and had received a lot of flak from the critics.
