Blast Near Military Academy in Kabul Kills 15 Cadets, Injures 4

An explosion rocked the PD5 district of Kabul near a military university, on Saturday, 21 October, less than a day after a suicide blast at a Shiite mosque in Afghanistan killed at least 30 people.

According to Tolo News, at least 15 cadets were killed while they were travelling in a bus when the explosion occurred at the entrance gate to the Marshal Fahim Military Academy, near Qambar square.

The spokesperson of Afghan Defence Ministry confirmed the death toll, adding that four people have been wounded in the blast.

Earlier in day, three rockets were fired at foreign facilities in Kabul.
