On Sunday, the Belgian Government placed its country and the capital city, Brussels on highest alert due to an “imminent terror attack”. The government requested the citizens to be silent on social media till they executed their expedition to wipe out danger.

This loosely translates to, “For security, please respect the radio silence on social media since police operations are underway in Brussels”. They used #BrusselsLockdown as the hashtag.

The citizens responded to the police’s request with a sense of humour. Their tweets became catty with paws, claws, and whiskers on them. Take a look.
