Social media expressed overwhelming support for 14-year-old Ahmed Mohammed, who was wrongly arrested on Wednesday as his homemade clock was mistaken for a bomb by teachers at the MacArthur High School.

When the news reached President Obama and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, they took to Twitter to voice their support.

Since then, the hashtag #IStandWithAhmed has been trending on Twitter, as users tweet in solidarity with the teen.
