Thirteen out of 20 Indians ( who were earlier reported dead) are alive and 7 are still missing after a Saudi-led air strike in Yemen, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Wednesday.

Residents and fishermen claimed two boats were hit in the attack on an area called al-Khokha, near Hodeidah port. More foreign troops were reported to be arriving to intensify the campaign against Houthi forces.

India shut down its embassy in Yemen earlier this year, a fallout of the civil war which has engulfed the nation since the Iran- backed Houthi rebels seized capital Sanaa. All Indians willing to leave the country had been evacuated.
