BACKGROUND

A viral video filmed in UP’s Bulandshahr district shows an allegedly drunk cop being thrashed by angry mob for having rammed into some bikes.

The incident took place when the constable from Noida was on Kanwar duty, reported the Times of India.

The crowd gathered on the spot and hit the cop using his belt and tore his uniform. He was later handed over to the police.

An FIR was registered against the constable at the Sikandarabad police station, and he was subsequently suspended.
