TRUE OR FALSE?

The claim along with the video is false. While the incident did happen, it was not done with an intention to extract revenge. Rather, Lucas Albert, a Brazil-based social media influencer, who had published this video on 14 July, played this as a prank on his friends, reported Russian television network RT.

WHAT WE FOUND OUT

We divided the video into multiple key frames using InVid and reverse searched each frame on Yandex. This led us to a news report published by RT on 17 July.

The report mentioned that the video was originally posted by Lucas Albert, on his Instagram account on 14 July. The caption along with the post, when translated in English, reads: “My friends had a barbecue on the street and they did not invite me. Look at what I did to them.

According to RT, Albert said that claims of him having pulled off the act as he was angry with his neighbours was incorrect. He even followed this up with an Instagram stories saying that he was “just joking with his friends,” added the report.
