Soon after the Congress sealed an alliance with the DMK, the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC), on Friday, threw a broad hint in the state assembly that it was not averse to an alliance with the ruling AIADMK, The Times of India reported.
This apparent offer came in the last session of the assembly before the polls. The TMC, which was floated by former Union shipping minister GK Vasan, currently has two legislators, while the Congress has three.

This came on the same day when PMK founder president Dr S Ramadoss told the media that it will contest all 234 seats in the coming Assembly election on its own if no other party allies with it.
According to The New Indian Express, he also said that it was weak parties that sought alliances, and as of now, the PMK could win 130 Assembly seats if it contested alone.
The party plans to start announcing its candidates soon.
