West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee announced a mass outreach program of her party called ‘Didi ke Bolo’ (Tell Didi), through which people in the state can call in and have their suggestions and complaints heard. Apart from the phone line, the initiative will also see TMC leaders travel across Bengal, and listen to what the people of the state have to say.

The initiative is the first major imprint of Prashant Kishor’s I-PAC, the political consultancy that has been signed on by Mamata for her 2021 Assembly election campaign in West Bengal.

“Our leaders will go to more than 10,000 villages and urban areas across Bengal, interact with people and listen to their problems. They will stay the night at the homes of booth-level party workers.”
Mamata Banerjee

The TMC officials will conduct ‘Jana Sangjog Sabhas’, three-hour long meetings to interact with locals. The leaders will also meet “3-5 key influencers in the village” and go on door-to-door visits to village households along with the workers.

Apart from the phone line (91370 91370), the ‘Didi ke Bolo’ initiative can also be accessed online at www.didikebolo.com.

Users are prompted, “If you have any thoughts or issues, write to Didi.” After typing out their comment, they are asked to enter their personal details including name, age, gender, phone number, WhatsApp number, and name of district. They can then submit their suggestion/complaint.
