The Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee has announced that it is extending its 'rail roko' agitation in Punjab against the three farm Bills till 29 September, reported PTI. The agitation began on Thursday and led to the disruption of train services.
Days after Parliament passed the contentious farm bills, a nationwide protest took place on Friday, 25 September, with over two dozen farmer organisations having announced their support to the call for the bandh.
Opposition parties, including the Congress, TMC, the Left, AAP and Samajwadi Party, have also extended support to the farmers in their protests.

28 Passenger Trains Cancelled as Farmers Continue Agitation in Punjab
At least 28 passenger trains have been cancelled as farmers in Punjab continued blocking train tracks on Saturday, which is day 3 of the "Rail Roko" agitation. However, the Railways is yet to announce a revised schedule.
Farmers’ Body Accuses SAD of Doing Politics Over Farm Bills
The leaders of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, which is spearheading the ‘Rail Roko’ agitation in Punjab, have accused Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) of indulging in politics over the ongoing farmers’ protests.
“Akali Dal is not taking an unequivocal stand. They’re trying to remain part of the alliance and doing politics,” general secretary of the committee Sarwan Singh Pandher said, as reported by ANI.
70 RLD Workers Booked for Holding Demonstration Without Permission
Seventy RLD workers and leaders, including its district president, were booked for holding a protest against the farm bills without permission from the administration, police said on Saturday, according to PTI. A case was reportedly registered against them on Friday.
