Swaraj had deleted her Twitter bio on Wednesday. After removing “Foreign Minister”, Swaraj has now added it back to her profile. This has drawn a great deal of attention as Swaraj was the talking point of the Monsoon session of Parliament over her alleged involvement in the ‘Lalitgate’ scandal.

There were repeated adjournments in both houses of the Parliament as the opposition refused to allow normal functioning until Sushma Swaraj resigns. By deleting her bio in the middle of this turmoil, Swaraj only further fuelled speculation.

However, a foreign ministry spokesperson told NDTV that the Twitter account is Mrs Swaraj’s personal one, and she keeps changing her bio according to her wish, and nothing should be read into it.
