Have Proof of Bribery Talks with Amit Shah: Hardik Patel’s Aide
Narendra Patel had alleged the BJP had offered him Rs 1 crore to join the party.
Hardik Patel’s close aide, Narendra Patel, a member of the Patidar Anamant Andolan Samiti (PAAS) who had alleged he was offered a bribe of Rs 1 crore to join the BJP, has now said he has proof of a conversation with BJP chief Amit Shah about the purported deal. Patel said he will make the evidence public, as well as produce it in court once candidates file their nomination papers for the upcoming Gujarat elections, the Indian Express reported.
The Indian Express quoted BJP’s Gujarat affairs in-charge, Bhupender Yadav, as saying:
There are so many audio and video CDs (of Narendra Patel) floating in the market. So, there is no credibility of Narendra Patel and what he says. Everyday we find a new CD of Narendra Patel in the market…every other day we find a contradictory CD of Narendra Patel. He has no credibility.
Patel had last month joined the BJP in the presence state party chief Jitu Vaghani. But soon after, he called a press conference to allege that he had been offered Rs 1 crore to join the BJP. The BJP had denied the allegations.
“The people of Gujarat are not so cheap to be bought by the BJP. The people are being insulted and they shall have their revenge,” Hardik had later said.
