Phase-III Trial of the COVID-19 Vaccine Developed By Bharat Biotech: UP Health Minister
UP Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh on Tuesday said that phase-III trials of the COVID-19 vaccine is being developed by Bharat Biotech will involve 3,000 people- 1,500 each from Lucknow and Gorakhpur.
18,317 New COVID-19 Cases in Maharashtra
Maharashtra has reported 18,317 new COVID-19 cases, 481 deaths and 19,163 discharges today. This takes the total cases in the state to 13,84,446, including 36,662 deaths and 10,88,322 discharges, while active cases stand at 2,59,033, the Public Health Department, Maharashtra said on Wednesday,
MHA Issues Guidelines for Unlock 5.0
On Wednesday, MHA issued fresh guidelines for Unlock 5.0, under which cinemas, theatres, multiplexes will be permitted to open with up to 50 percent of their seating capacity from 15 October.
Further, swimming pools being used for training of sportspersons will also be permitted to open from 15 October.
However, there will be strict enforcement of lockdown in containment zones till 31 October.
Lockdown Extended in Maha Till 31 October
The lockdown has been extended in Maharashtra till 31 October, 2020. Hotels, food courts, restaurants and bars have been allowed to operate from 5 October with 50 percent capacity, the Maharashtra government said.
