“Democratically, you have told us about your concern. For that, you need not preach to us because you have a mouth. You should control it,” Naidu said.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was caught on camera losing his cool on Monday, when a farmer expressed disappointment over his governance.

Don’t talk about big things. Talk about yourself. Democratically, you have told us about your concern. For that, you need not preach to us because you have a mouth. You should control it.

On Monday, Madella Ramanjaneyulu barged into the venue of Jala Samrakshana held in Venkatapalem of Tulluru mandal in Amaravati, which was inaugurated by the chief minister. After flagging off the event, Naidu addressed the gathering.

After the meeting, breaching the security, Ramanjaneyulu managed to reach the dais where the CM was standing along with officials and local leaders.

An agitated Ramanjaneyulu cried foul over the police inaction, against certain perpetrators who had allegedly attacked him over a parking issue. He complained that although it has been a year since he was attacked, there was no firm action against the attackers.

After hearing the grievance, Naidu calmly asked about who attacked him, “Who did you complain to? I’ll ask the SP to verify. I will ensure that injustice won’t happen to you.”

Despite the assurance, when the farmer persisted with his complaint. At this point, a visibly irritated Naidu lost his cool and said, “You listen first. If you are clever, I am smarter than you.”

Naidu composed himself and said, “The Collector and SP will get all the facts verified and report it to me. Just because you shout aloud, a lie doesn’t become the truth. Have some patience.”

After saying this, he was about to leave the venue. Notwithstanding with the assurance, Ramanjaneyulu continued protesting and reportedly criticised Naidu’s governance.

Naidu responded saying, “Will you listen or not? Don’t talk about big things.”

In June 2017, Naidu had courted controversy, when he implied that citizens must vote for his party, as they were enjoying the benefits extended by his government.

"You are taking the pension I am giving, using roads we have built, taking rations that we give, benefiting from our schemes, then why should you not support us politically?" he was quoted as saying.
