Dubbing the BJP’s performance in Karnataka as "extraordinary", Prime Minister Narendra Modi , while addressing party workers in New Delhi, on Tuesday, 15 May, said the state's people gave a befitting reply to the Congress.
“I want to assure the people of Karnataka that the BJP will not allow the state’s development journey to be trampled upon. It will not leave any stone unturned in ensuring a bright future for the state,” he said at the BJP headquarters.
He said that despite being a north Indian party the BJP is forming governments in non-Hindi speaking states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Assam and others.

Modi also showered praise on BJP chief Amit Shah, who was present at the event, for his “excellent strategies” that have led the party to one win after another.
BJP’s Winning Streak Won’t Stop
BJP president Amit Shah who also delivered an address to the party workers asserted that people voted for a 'Congress-mukt' Karnataka and that his party's winning streak will continue and it will win all polls, including the 2019 Lok Sabha election.
The tally of Congress has been reduced from 122 to 77 and Chief Minister Siddamaraiah lost in Chamundeshwari — his traditional seat, and barely managed to win from Badami, Modi said, mocking the opposition party. Half of the members of Siddamaraiah cabinet have lost, Shah told party workers .
He further assured them that the party’s winning streak will not end and it will win all the upcoming polls and notch up a bigger victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls than it did in 2014.
Shah said the state has shown its trust in Prime Minister Modi's "clean governance" and rejected the Congress' "divisive politics".
