Just how rich are terror organisations? Forbes magazine has attempted to answer that question with a new list, “The World’s 10 Richest Terror Organisations”. Not surprisingly, ISIS or Islamic State, are on top of the list with an annual turnover of $ 2 billion. Pakistan’s Lashkar-e-Taiba is at No. 7 on the list with an annual turnover of $100 million.

As Forbes explains, the list was made “based on interviews with security experts and counter-terror specialists, as well as reports and analysis from international NGOs, academic and government organisations, and think-tanks.”
