Man Thrashed, Paraded on Road For ‘Harassing Woman’ Near Mumbai
The man was made to apologise to the woman in front of his wife, a report said.
A group of women in Maharashtra’s Dombivli thrashed a man and paraded him on the streets after he allegedly harassed a woman on Tuesday, 8 January, reported India Today.
The women alleged that the man, who owns a small shop in the area, was making obscene gestures.
He reportedly made lewd comments at a woman who used to pass by his shop every day, and tried to touch her inappropriately. The man also threatened to harm the woman’s son, after which she decided to seek help, according to Mirror Now.
The woman approached a women’s rights group that confronted the accused. According to the report, when the man reacted arrogantly, the women decided to take matters to their own hands. They beat him up and paraded him on the streets while recording the whole act.
Later, in front of his wife, the man apologised to the woman he had allegedly harassed, Mirror Now said.
However, no police complaint was made in this regard.
