Students Take Exam On Terrace As Dancers Perform On School Ground
In a bizarre incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Tikamgarh, women were seen dancing to Bhojpuri numbers in a government school ground where students were initially supposed to take their final examination on 9 February, NDTV reported.
Students were shifted to the rooftop of the school building as a cultural programme, reportedly organised by a local lawmaker coincided with their final exams. The programme was about the ‘MLA cup tournament’, is held every year to commemorate a local leader.
A video capturing the incident showed a woman in a yellow sari gyrating to a loud song before a roaring crowd. Soon after, another woman joined her on stage and danced along with her amidst a ground decorated with balloons.
However, the scene at the terrace showed students seated in neat rows under the close watch of the invigilators.
According to the NDTV report, the district administration stated, “We are yet to get any complaint.”
Last year, another shocking video had courted controversy from Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur where a government school’s classroom was turned into a dance bar for a private party organised by the village local chief. The school shut on the eve of Raksha Bandhan had women dancing to Bhojpuri numbers with men showering cash on them.
