Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat and six other national level functionaries of the organisation joined twitter on Monday, 1 July.
Bhagwat's official Twitter handle is @DrMohanBhagwat. He, however, hasn't tweeted anything on the platform so far.
Since joining, Bhagwat has followed the official RSS Twitter handle and amassed over 7,ooo followers at the time of filing this report.
Besides Bhagwat, other Sangh functionaries like Suresh Joshi, Suresh Soni, Krishna Gopal, V Bhagaiah, Arun Kumar and Aniruddh Deshpande also joined the micro-blogging site, ANI reported.
The RSS chief has repeatedly batted for construction of the Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, and had asked to speed up the process of the temple construction.
After the BJP's massive win in the recent national election, Bhagwat had said: “Ram's work needs to be done and Ram's work will be done.”
