Bikaner Land Scam: ED Attaches Vadra’s Assets Worth Rs 4.62 Crore

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday, 15 February, attached assets worth Rs 4.62 crore of Robert Vadra’s company Sky Light Hospitality (P) Ltd, and others in connection with the alleged Bikaner land scam case.

Vadra, Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s brother-in-law, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate for the second consecutive day in Jaipur on Wednesday, 13 February for questioning in connection with the case. Vadra had on Tuesday arrived at the ED office at Bhawani Singh Road with his mother Maureen.

According to the ED, Vadra’s company Sky Light Hospitality (P) Ltd had purchased 69.55 hectares of fraudulent land for Rs 72 lakh and sold the same for Rs 5.15 crore to Allegeny Finlease (P) Ltd, thereby illegally generating profit of Rs 4.43 crore.

With the fresh round of seizures on Friday, the total attachment by the ED in the case has reached Rs 6.44 crore.

Further investigation by the agency under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) is underway.
