1. Gurgaon: Real Estate Firm Officials Booked for Cheating Buyer

Senior management officials of a real estate firm have been booked for allegedly cheating a flat buyer. The buyer had made the full payment of Rs 65 lakh. The police said that the victim purchased a flat in the firm’s housing project in 2013. He was meant to get possession of the flat in December 2014, which the accused real estate firm kept postponing.

2. Drunk car Driver Rams 2-Wheelers, Kills 3 Students

A car driver rammed two scooters killing three students and injuring two. All five were returning to their homes after a tea-break at Nigdi Octroi post in Maharashtra. The accused, Mayur Ramesh Ghumatkar, (29) of Shahunagar was going towards Dehu Road from Chinchwad, driving on the wrong side of the highway at a high speed.

4. Lucknow: Patient Dies due to Govt Doctor’s  ‘Medical Negligence’

The state suspended a government doctor of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, and set up an inquiry, after an FIR of death of a patient due to negligence was registered at the Vibhuti Khand police station. Dr AK Srivastava had violated service rules by conducting the operation in a private hospital instead of a government facility.

The accused had maintained accounts in these banks using the name of a Maharashtra-based medical institute to dupe MBBS aspirants and their parents.

6. Uttar Pradesh: More Than 100 Illegal Vendors on Railway Platform Held

The arrests were made across 12 railway stations including Agra Cantt, Mathura, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Agra Fort, Tundla and others.

Often these illegal/unauthorized vendors are part of Zeharkhurani operatives or robbery gangs doing recce on trains and platforms. In last several robbery incidents, more than three dozen vendors  were fired from their jobs after being caught in criminal activities.

7. Ahmedabad: 12-yr-old boy Killed by BRTS Bus

A 12-year-old boy was killed when he was hit by a speeding BRTS bus just opposite Sabarmati police station. Angry mob pelted stones at the bus.

“The boy arrived at the BRTS corridor, and just as he jumped across the BRTS railing, he was hit by a speeding bus. He fell down and was crushed under the bus,” police official said.
