1. Patanjali Food Park Shootout: Ramdev’s Brother Jailed for 14 Days

Yoga guru Ramdev’s younger brother Ram Bharat was sent on a 14-day judicial remand after being produced in a Haridwar court late on Wednesday for his alleged involvement in a clash at Patanjali Herbal Food Park, which left one dead and almost eleven others injured.

2. Woman Gang-Raped, Abandoned in Train

Gwalior: A mother of four has alleged that she was kidnapped from her home by three men, raped and then abandoned on a train, Times of India reports.

Some of the passengers on the train noticed that she was in pain and called up the emergency services in Godhra but by then the train had left the station.

3.‘Model’ Crime by D-Gang: Dawood Aide Auditions, Henchmen Rob

Dawood Ibrahim aide and terror under-trial Mohammad Dossa “auditioned” eight models on a city court’s premises, selected three for a Dubai assignment and gave them an advance, police said.

Then two of his henchmen allegedly posed as cops, hijacked the cab in which the girl who had received the advance on the trio’s behalf was returning, and robbed her of the money on a Mumbai street.

4. Call Centre Employee Falls to Her Death, Family Alleges Murder

Mumbai: The death of a 20-year-old from Kandivli, who lost her life after allegedly falling from the terrace of a 15-storey high-rise near her own residential society has been declared a suicide by the police, but the victim’s father has accused the neighbour of murder, according to Mid-day.

5. Rapists Filmed Minor Dalit Girls During Crime

Ahmedabad: Police arrested four accused, including one minor for allegedly raping three minor dalit girls repeatedly and at various locations, Times of India reports. The alleged rapists, the victims say, also filmed them and took pictures while raping them.

6. Accused Sexually Abused Victim While Forcing Her To Watch Porn: Chargesheet

Mumbai: Three months after four people - a brother-sister duo, their mother, and her partner - committed suicide, leading to the arrest of the victims’ employer Tinksingh Kishan Singh, the police last week filed a 700-page chargesheet, indicting him of abetting suicide and sexual assault.

Based on the notes and the video messages left behind by the victims, Singh was accused of sexually assaulting and torturing the siblings.

7. Sand Mafia Boss Shot and Stabbed-Pune Mirror

Pune: Notorious gangster and sand mafia kingpin Appa aka Prakash Haribhau Londhe was brutally killed near his house while he was taking an early morning walk, says the Pune Mirror.

His gang, believed to be 50-member strong, had unleashed a reign of terror and would openly move around bearing arms.

9. Hawkers Burn BJP Office, Eviction Drive Faces Protests in Asansol

Around 50 unauthorised hawkers at Asansol station owing allegiance to a BJP-backed union set fire to a party office, protesting an eviction drive by the railways and a reported refusal by local MP Babul Supriyo to take up their cause with the railway ministry.
