1. Youth Nabbed for Stabbing 17-Year-Old to Death

Delhi police have arrested a teenager for stabbing a boy to death over personal enmity in South Delhi’s Sangam Vihar areas, reports The Times of India.

The victim who was 17-years-old was stabbed with a knife while he was on his way to market with his mother. The culprit has confessed the crime and said that it was a revenge attack for a near-fatal attack made on him by the victim’s brother, adds the report.

2. Principal Accused of Sexual Assault, Thrashed

According to the Indian Express, a senior secondary school principal in Fatehgarh district of Haryana was allegedly caught red-handed while sexually assaulting a girl student in the school.

The accused, identified as 39-years-old Rajkumar, had been repeatedly sexually harassing girls students for the past many months, says the report.

A mob thrashed him on Friday besides video-graphing the incident and parading him on road from school to the police station in Bhuna.

A few parents alleged that Rajkumar had been taking students’ phone numbers and was in touch with various girl students. He used to make obscene conversations with girl students and had sent an obscene message on their mobile phones. However, all these allegations are yet to be verified.

Police have booked him for attempt to rape (section 376/511 of IPC) and under various provisions of POSCO Act.

3. Three Students Held For Killing, Cooking a Pet Dog

Bengaluru Police have arrested three students from Manipur for allegedly killing their pet dog and cooking it at their rented accommodation in the city.

According to a Deccan Herald report, the accused who are studying computer application and animation at a private college in Bengaluru- have been booked under Sections 428 of IPC (mischief by killing or maiming animal of value Rs 10 or upwards) on the basis of a complaint lodged by their neighbour, an animal rights activist, and other members of Animal Welfare Association. They have been produced before a court and were remanded to judicial custody.

On Tuesday night, they killed their pet dog Marley, aged around six to seven months, skinned it out and were seen roasting it by a neighbour.

4. Cop Caught Accepting 25,000 Bribe, Watch Worth 3L Found in Car

The Anti-corruption bureau of Maharashtra Police has arrested a police inspector from Raigad for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from a businessman who was involved in adulteration of furnace oil, reports Hindustan Times.

Police have also confiscated a Rolex watch worth Rs 3 lakh, Marc Jacobs sunglasses worth Rs 10,000 and Rs 5000 cash which were found inside his car.

According to the report, the accused cop has told the business man that he could continue with his illegal business if he paid him Rs 2 lakh every month.

5. TV Director Plots to Kill Uncles, Hires Gang

Chennai Police are on the lookout for a small-time TV serial director who they believe hired a gang to murder his uncle over a property dispute, reports The Times of India in it’s Chennai edition.

The director who has been identified as S Prabhu Shankar had invited his uncle home to discuss a property issue when the car driver overheard the conversation between him and the five-member gang. He then alerted the police control room who nabbed the gang.

Around 7 PM Prabhu took his uncle to house while the gang members waited outside. When Prabhu came out to finalise the plan with them, the driver overheard their conversation and called the PCR.

It is reported that the accused has a real estate business with his uncle and that they had a disagreement over a property.

Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to trace the accused after he managed to flee from his home.
