QCrime: Minor Girl Alleges Rape by 113, Man Kills Stepson in Delhi

1. Minor Girl Complains of Being Raped by 113 Persons

According to Times of India, a 16-year-old girl has complained of being raped by over 100 men in Pune, including a policeman. She was brought from West Bengal to Pune on the pretext of a job.

Reportedly, the girl was tortured and forced into prostitution in the last two years. The girl escaped to Delhi and lodged a complaint there. The case was transferred to the Pune police on Saturday where an FIR was registered against 113 persons.

2. Man Kills Step Son in Delhi

A 12-year-old boy was allegedly killed by his stepfather in New Delhi. The police managed to arrest the accused after a month from the day of the incident.

Reportedly, the accused split his stepson’s jaws with an axe at their house.

3. Minor Girl Gangraped, Body Found Hanging From a Tree

According to The Indian Express, a group of three allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl near Yeturu village in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh.

The girl’s body was found hanging from a tree. The trio reportedly kidnapped the girl on Monday and raped her in an open field.

4. Second Bangladesh Editor Named in Plot to Kill Sheikh Hasina’s Son

According to PTI, Bangladesh on Monday named a second editor for allegedly plotting to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son, days after an 81-year-old pro-opposition magazine journalist was arrested for his involvement in the same case.

The first editor, Mahmudur Rahman, 62, already faces 75 cases of sedition after authorities shut down his Amar Desh newspaper for allegedly inciting religious tension in 2013.

5. Three Injured After Bomb Goes Off Accidently

According to The Telegraph, three people were injured after a bomb went off accidently at the Chhapra civil court in Saran district, near Patna.

Incidentally, one of the injured, Khushbu Kumari, was carrying the bomb to kill her cousin, a complainant in a triple murder case.

6. IT Professional Sentenced to Death, Woman Colleague Gets Life Term

An IT professional was sentenced to death while his colleague and lover was sentenced to life for killing her three-year-old daughter and mother-in-law and attempting to murder her husband in 2014.

The accused, Nino Mathew and Anu Shanti have also been asked to pay a fine of Rs 50 lakh each.

7. Two Persons Threw a Paver Block at a Policeman in Mumbai

According to Times of India, two people threw a paver block at a police constable, while he was checking vehicles at the Mumbai international airport on Monday.

Harishchandra Shinde (46) incurred a minor injury due to the incident.

The youths threw the paver block from a distance of at least 20-25 feet. Before the cops could chase they sped away in black pulsar bike. A probe is on to find out whether the youths attacked Shinde because they may have been fined in the past for any traffic offence.

8. Woman Kills Husband in Punjab

According to Times of India, Sukhdeep Kaur was arrested for allegedly killing her husband, who was a Punjab police constable. Reportedly, the wife murdered her husband with the help of two-Punjab based criminals on Monday.

The deceased, Jasbir Singh had been missing since 3 February.

The sustained interrogation of Kaur revealed that she had murdered her husband with the assistance of two others, who later committed a crime while firing on a police party in Patiala in January 2016. The two were arrested by Punjab police recently.

9. Two Acquitted of Rape Charge in Chennai

According to Times of India, a mahila court in Chennai acquitted two people accused of kidnapping and raping two women.

Reportedly, the accused, Naresh Kumar and Kuberaraja kidnapped three women from 100 feet road on 8 May 2009 and then took them to a lodge in Tindivanam, where they were raped. The two also demanded ransom from the girls’ families.

The two were arrested while they were waiting for the ransom.
