1. Man’s Charred Body Found in Delhi, Murder Suspected

The charred body of a 40-year-old man was found in a forested area of South-East Delhi’s Tughlaqabad, on Tuesday. The police suspect murder but neither the suspects nor the motive of crime has been established yet. The body has been identified as that of Surajbhan, a resident of Tughlaqabad. The body was spotted by a passerby. The police is questioning Surajbhan’s wife, with whom he had three children, and a case of murder has been registered.

2. Dalit Clerk Commits Suicide in Ahemdabad, Family Alleges Caste Discrimination at Work

A 31-year-old dalit clerk, Ketan Koradiya commited suicide in Ahemdabad following which his family alleged caste discrimination by co workers, as reported by The Indian Express.

Other staffers of the Metropolitan Court also pointed out how juidicial officers issued show cause notices at every chance, as was shown to Koradiya ten days before his suicide.

3. Gang Preparing Fake Educational Documents Busted in Bengaluru

Bengaluru police have busted a gang involved in preparing fake certificates and mark sheets of universities in South India, according to The Mail Today.

A woman has been arrested and two other are reportedly on the run. According to the police, Safiya Kumar and Ravi Kumar were running a fake college from a small room on Bannerghatta Road in Bengaluru. They would collect Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 from each candidate and issue a fake certificate to them.

4. Speeding Mercedes Kills Delhi Man, Driver Absconding

A Mercedes at the speed of 100 km per hour ran over a pedestrian in Delhi on Monday night, as reported by NDTV.

Sidharth Sharma, 32, later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The driver along with his fellow passengers fled the spot immediately after the accident.

The police have registered a case of negligent driving amounting to murder against unidentified men. The owner of the car has been identified as Manoj Kumar. His driver claimed responsibilty for the accident but retracted his statement later saying he was pressurised.

5. Teen Killed After Scooter Hit by Truck, Then Dragged for Nine Kms

An 18-year-old boy was killed in the capital after his scooter was hit by a truck, then dragged for nine kms while the police gave chase, according to The Indian Express.

The police have arrested two accused in the case, and a Delhi Court has remanded them to 14 days in judicial custody.

6. Two People Arrested in Two Different Rape Cases in Bengaluru

Two people have been arrested in two different rape cases by the Karnataka police, as reported by Mail Today. Both the cases involve minors.

In the first case, an eight-year-old girl was raped by a youth named Tipu Sultan, who is now in judicial custody. In the second, a minor girl was raped by a construction worker from Uttar Pradesh in Munavalli in Belagavi district last week. The accused is refusing to cooperate with the police.

7. Six Arrested in Ajmer for Attacking Tourists, Molesting Spanish Woman

Six People were arrested in Ajmer on Tuesday for attacking four foreign nationals and molesting a Spanish woman, as reported by The Hindu.

On Monday evening, the tourists were on their way to a temple when the miscreants started following them. To avoid them, the tourists started running away but they managed to get hold of the Spanish woman who they molested. When her friend tried to save her, they pelted stones at him which injured him, the police said.

8. Six Held in Rajasthan for Beating, Stripping Teens

Six people were arrested on Tuesday in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan for beating and stripping three Dalit teenagers, according to The Hindu. They suspected the boys of having stolen a motorcycle.

On April 2, a motorcycle was found with the group of boys after which a mob beat them up and stripped them naked.

9. Teacher Held for Sexually Abusing Children in Tamil Nadu

A 30-year-old government school teacher was held in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday on charges of sexually abusing school children, The Hindu reported.

Parents of children of class two and three alleged that S. Duraimurugan assaulted their children during lunch and sports hour and also when he took classes for other teachers who were on leave.
