1. Youth Arrested for Killing Trader in Delhi

A 23-year-old youth has been arrested for allegedly murdering a trader in Delhi. The accused, Mohammed Vasim, was caught on a tip off as per the police. Vasim along with three other people shot the trader, Mahender Chand Ramola dead inside his office. Ramola was a ready-garments trader and is said to have been killed as Vasim’s accomplice Azim thought he was a police informer.

2. Teenager Held With 5 Stolen Bikes, Sent to Juvenile Home

A 17-year-old youth was arrested for stealing five motorcycles which were recovered from him by the Coimbatore police. The accused was caught during a vehicle check in the area, and when he was asked for the documents of the bike, he failed to give it to them. Later, he confessed to his crime and told the police about the whereabouts of all the stolen bikes he had with him.

3. Duo Arrested With 50 Kg Hashish in Faridabad

Haryana police have arrested two drug peddlers and seized over 50 kg of hashish from them. The police said that the duo in their Honda City car was on their way to deliver the package to their customers. The accused, Vikram Chatterji and Sidharth Vairagi are now in police custody.

4. Army Man Arrested With Smuggled Gold in Mizoram

A colonel was put behind bars in Aizawl for allegedly managing to rob gold biscuits worth Rs 14.5 crore that was smuggled from Myanmar last year. The accused, Jasjit Singh has been suspended from the force as per the police. Interestingly, the complaint was filed by the driver of the vehicle carrying the gold biscuit, who alleged that a 39th Assam Rifles personnel robbed him at gunpoint.

5. Elderly Mother Puts Son Behind Bars, Says He Raped Her

A 40-year-old man has been arrested for raping his own mother. This incident was brought to light by the victim’s daughter, who then lodged a complaint with the police. The victim, still under in shock. The police said that her son is a sexual pervert was in a drunken state. The accused showed no remorse for his crime and tried molesting her again.

6. Five Miscreants Arrested by Cops in Failed Loot

Five people have been arrested as the police managed to foil their looting bid in a village in Odisha. The police managed to quickly get over to the possible crime spot acting on a tip-off. A revolver, motorbike and a few phones were recovered.

7. Woman Hacked to Death by Stalker

A  30-year-old woman was brutally hacked to death by a man, who as per the police was her long-standing stalker. The man was on his bike and is said to have been stalking her since her school days. The victim, Sonali Murmu got married to a Chittaranjan Tudu in 2012 but that did not stop the accused Suken Mandal from chasing her.

The accused chopped off the victim’s wrists and attacked her several times in front of the gate of the institute where she was studying. The accused is at large and police are on the lookout for him.

8. Robbers Run Away as Policeman Saves Train From Loot

Six robbers could not succeed in looting the New Delhi-Chennai GT Express on Friday. The gang which is said to have boarded the train from Vijayawada had to run away empty handed as a policeman fired shots in the air. The man was alerted of a possible loot in the train as passengers in A-1 coach shouted for help, as per the police.

9. Water Tanker Operator Shot Dead in Delhi, Rivalry Suspected

A 40-year-old water tanker operator was shot dead outside his house in south-east Delhi area.

The incident occurred when the victim Jeevan Kumar, a resident of Sangam Vihar was called out of his house by the accused persons to meet them. After that, there were few gunshots and later he was found lying in a pool of blood, family members said.

A personal rivalry might be the cause of murder, police said.
