1. Six-month-old Female Foetus Found

A six-month-old female foetus was found near Magpie Tourist Complex in Faridabad, police said.

It was spotted by Nazar Mohammad, a resident of Sant Nagar, in sector 16-A of Faridabad.

On his complaint, a case was registered at Central Faridabad police station under section 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body) of IPC, police added.

2. Five insurgents held in Imphal

Five insurgents of two organisations were arrested by security forces in different districts of Manipur.

One was identified as H Romesh Singh (41) of Phoijing Awang Leikai.

Three others are H Somen Singh of Moirang Hemam Leikai in Bishenpur district, Sagolsem Abung (31) of Moirang Shribon Leikai from Kwakeithel Heinou Khongnembi area in Imphal west district and H Ibomcha Singh (47) of Moirang Shribon in Bishnupur district.

Fifth insurgent is of KCP(P) cadre, arrested from Yairipok Thambalnu Market area in Imphal east district.

3. Three men rob Property Dealer

Three unidentified men decamped with Rs 6.50 lakh cash from the office of a property dealer.

According to the complaint filed by Gulzar Khan, three men came to his office as clients and asked about the prevailing property rates in Faridabad and NCR.

4. Three Detained Under Goondas Act in Madhurai, Tamil Nadu

District Collector M Karunagaran issued an order to detain Siluvai Kitherian (41) and Deelet alias Style King (32) under the Goondas Act for their involvement in the recent group fight between two factions in the village.

During the fight both the sides used more than 60 country-made bombs to attack each other. Following the fight, police seized a large number of country-made bombs.

5. Farmer Robbed of Rs 1.90 lakh

A farmer was robbed of Rs 1.90 lakh on Tuesday by two bike-borne miscreants at gun-point in Jhajhar road of Greater Noida, police said.

Dhoom Singh, resident of Rohi village, had gone with his son Harinder to the ATM and withdrawn Rs 1.90 lakh, they said.

An FIR has been lodged at Jewar police station in this regard and a manhunt launched to nab the robbers.

6. Two Minors Drown in Water Pit

Two minors drowned in a water pit while bathing in Delpura village of Bundi district in Rajasthan, Dei police said.

While one of the deceased is a 13-year-old named Bunti, the other is 15 years old, Sub-inspector at Dei police station Abdul Sayed said.

The bodies were handed over to the two families after post-mortem, the SI said, adding, a case under section 174 of CrPC was lodged in this connection and the matter is being investigated.

7. Weapons Seized in Security Forces-Maoists Encounter

An encounter between security personnel and Maoists in the bordering area of Naxal-affected Palamau and Latehar districts of Jharkhand led to recovery of large quantity of detonators and live cartridges.

A large number of detonators, 95 live cartridges, one and half bundles of codex wire, empty can, IED stuffed in a sack, ammunition pouch, etc., were recovered during search operation following the encounter, Superintendent of Police, Latehar, Ajay Linda said.

8. Police Constable Shot Dead by Militants in Kashmir

Militants last night shot a policeman dead in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district of Kashmir.

Some unidentified militants fired upon constable Arif Nazir outside Bijbehara Police Station near a shop.

A search yielded notes by Debjani De suggesting she starved herself to death in her bid to ‘attain god’.

Partha De’s diary entries carry sexual overtones, but police on Monday said they have not found any evidence suggesting that Partha De, who lived with his sister Debjani’s corpse for months, had an incestuous relationship.
