A day after a video of a property dealer being shot at in Delhi’s Dwarka went viral on social media, police has arrested the main accused in the case, news agency ANI reported on Thursday, 26 September.
Accused Nakul Sangwan has been involved in other cases as well, the police said.
“The Dwarka North police, along with special staff team, has solved the case within 24 hours. Nakul Sangwan's cousin Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu, was also involved in the case,” Anto Alphonse, Dwarka DCP, said.
WHAT HAPPENED
The 48-year-old property dealer was targeted outside his office in Delhi’s Dwarka. The victim, identified as Narendra Gehlot, was shot dead by Nakul Sangwan on Tuesday evening on grounds of personal enmity, Alphonse further said.

The incident took place around 6:30 pm on the Old Palam Vihar road in Dwarka and it was captured on a CCTV camera installed nearby, PTI reported on Wednesday.
In the video, Narendra is seen sitting on the driver's side of an SUV and talking to some person. After a few seconds, a man wearing a helmet walks up to the car after the other person leaves the scene and starts pumping bullets into the car's windshield and through the window.
Narendra then tries to drive his car away but is unable to. During the time, the accused jumps on the roof of another parked car and continues firing while the victim tries to find shelter nearby.
