Armed Forces Flag Day: Politicos Across Country Salute the Army
On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, politicians and civilians across the country took to social media to pay their respects and honour the valour of the Indian Armed Forces personnel.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met officers at the Kendriya Sainik Board, where he was pinned with a flag by Brigadier MH Rizvi, the Secretary of the board.
Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman asked citizens to contribute towards the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.
Meanwhile, politicians and ministers also offered their salutations to the armed forces for their contribution and sacrifices towards the country.
Civilians also took to Twitter to urge people to contribute towards the Armed Forces Fund for the welfare of the defence personnel.
