PM Modi Set to Receive Warm Welcome on 11 May Visit to Nepal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set for a two-day visit to Nepal on 11 May and as per sources quoted by news agency ANI, he would be received by his Nepali counterpart Khadga Prasad Oli.

This would be the third time the prime minister will be visiting the country.

He will be reportedly welcomed by Oli at the Ram-Janaki temple in Janakpur which is majorly inhabited by Madhesi population, reported Hindustan Times. PM Modi will also be felicitated by more than 100,000 people at a reception and a public holiday has also been declared on that day, reported Hindustan Times.


Modi would be handed the key of the city by the mayor of Jankapur, reported HT.

Modi would then travel to Kathmandu where he would hold delegation-level talks with Oli and meet the Nepali President and vice-president.

PM Modi would also meet former prime ministers Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Sher Bahadur Deuba and also interact with the Madhesi leadership, reported news agency ANI.

PM Modi is also scheduled to visit Muktinath temple.
