Both houses of Parliament have been adjourned sine die, bringing an end to the Budget Session 2019 on Wednesday, 13 February.
Prime Minister Modi addressed the Lok Sabha for the last time ahead of the 2019 elections on the last day of the Budget Session 2019.
Earlier in the day, the Rajya Sabha had been adjourned sine die, meaning that The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 and The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2018, two Bills which have cleared Lok Sabha, will lapse on 3 June, when the term of the present Lok Sabha ends.
On Friday, 8 February, a fresh ruckus had broken out over the Rafale deal after The Hindu’s report by senior journalist N Ram. Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman responded in the Lok Sabha on Friday, to Congress’ fresh attack over the deal, by stating that all questions have been answered “thoroughly and transparently.”

Introduction of Registration of Marriage of NRI Bill Approved
The cabinet approves Introduction of Registration of Marriage of NRI Bill 2019. It also approved the Revision in the list of Scheduled Tribes of Chhattisgarh.
Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Narendra Singh Tomar said three bills in Lok Sabha and four bills in Rajya Sabha were passed in the last session Budget.
"Several ordinances of public's interest including those having opposition's approval couldn't be passed because of their politics," Tomar said.
