Pakistan Violates Ceasefire
The Pakistan Rangers again started unprovoked firing and shelling along the International Border (IB) in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, 20 May night, hours after "pleading" with the BSF to stop firing, after being pounded with heavy artillery that left a trooper dead across the border.
Small-arms firing from the Pakistani side started around 10:30 PM at Narayanpur in the Ramgarh sector and was followed by mortar firing, aimed at the forward posts of the BSF and villages along the border, an officer of the border-guarding force told PTI.
10 Killed, 47 Injured as Bus Rams into Truck in MP
The private bus was headed to Ahmedabad in Gujarat from Banda in Uttar Pradesh when it hit the truck's rear side near Ruthiyai town around 4.30 am, Guna police station in-charge Vivek Asthana told PTI.
Seven persons, including the bus driver, died on the spot while three others succumbed in the district hospital.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dinesh Shukla said the district administration has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 15,000 to the kin of the deceased and Rs 7,500 to those injured.

An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale is reported to have hit Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur valley at 4.21 pm today.
INSV Tarini: All-Women Crew Completes Circumnavigating the Globe
The Indian Navy’s all women six-member crew aboard the Indian Naval Shipping Vessel (INSV) Tarini, was flagged in by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at Panaji, Goa, after it completed the historic mission of circumnavigating the globe.
The team, headed by Lt Commander Vartika Joshi, includes five other officers – Pratibha Jamwal, Aishwarya Boddapati, Patarapalli Swathi, Vijaya Devi and Payal Gupta.
The voyage began on 10 September 2017, and is the first-ever circumnavigation of the globe by an all women Indian crew.
India Test-fires BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile
India has successfully test-fired BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from test range along Odisha coast, say Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) officials.
The missile was test-fired from a mobile launcher stationed at Launch pad 3 of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur near here at 10.40 am, officials said.
The trial was conducted to validate its "life extension" technologies developed for the first time in India by DRDO and team BraHmos, said an official of the ITR.
