After a case of treason filed against him in a Bihar court, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah refused to go back on his comments on Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Saturday, 18 November, while addressing a crowd in Jammu.
Abdullah reiterated his remarks saying, “How many Pakistans do we want to build? You have made one Pakistan, how many pieces will you cut India into?”

Following former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s remarks about Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) belonging to Pakistan, a Bihar court had ordered a case of treason against him, India Today reported.
Local lawyer in Bettiah, Bihar, Muraad Ali petitioned in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Jairam Prasad, that Abdullah’s comments were anti-national and divisive. An FIR was registered against Abdullah at the court’s behest.
Abdullah had, last Saturday, said talks of an independent Kashmir were "wrong" as the landlocked valley was surrounded by three nuclear powers – China, Pakistan and India.
He had also claimed that PoK belonged to Pakistan and that "this will not change", no matter how many wars India and Pakistan fought against each other.
The remarks had kicked up a storm with the BJP and its NDA allies reacting sharply against it.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday asserted that all of Kashmir, including the areas occupied by Pakistan, was an integral part of India.
"We have always held that Kashmir is an integral part of India. This has been our unequivocal stand on the issue. We hold that the whole of Kashmir, including the areas occupied by Pakistan, is an integral part of the country," he told reporters on the sidelines of his weekly "Lok Samvad" (public interaction) programme.
