Speaking at a pre-election rally in Rajasthan's Bhilwara on the tenth anniversary of the deadly 26/11 attacks which terrorised Mumbai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India would never forget nor forgive the perpetrators of the attack – and that justice would be served.

“India will never forget 26/11 attack, and neither forget the perpetrators. Justice will surely be done, I want to assure the country,” he said.

Modi also took a dig at the Congress, who was in power at the time of the attack, saying while the incident had shaken up the entire nation, the ruling party under Sonia Gandhi, at that point, was only focused on “giving lessons in patriotism.”

“Today is 26/11. Ten years back, New Delhi was being ruled by “Madam.” She was governing the country with a remote control.”

Modi also spoke about how the Congress hasn’t learnt its lesson in turning a blind eye to crises.

Speaking about the time when the Indian Army had conducted a surgical strike, making “India proud,” he said the Congress had on the other hand questioned it and demanded that video proof of the exercise be provided, The New Indian Express reported.

Modi had also offered his tributes to the victims and martyrs of 26/11 attacks, earlier on in the day.
