The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the e-ticketing and catering arm of Indian Railways, operates a number of Tourism Products ranging from the economical Bharat Darshan Tourist Train to the most luxurious Maharajas’ Express.
Other tourism products of IRCTC include Rail Tour Packages (with confirmed seat/ berths in trains), Holiday Packages, Special Tourist Trains, IRCTC FTRs, Charter Coaches, Charter Trains, and Educational Tours, etc.
Not just this, but the IRCTC recently launched its own air ticketing portal www.air.irctc.co.in through which it sells close to 4500 tickets on a daily basis. Users can book air tickets for both domestic and international fights through the official website, IRCTC Air.
IRCTC Air is also offering air travel insurance of up to Rs 50 lakh at zero cost with a minimum convenience fee to its customers, according to the details available on the website.
Earlier, IRCTC had on Thursday, 28 February, launched its much awaited payment aggregator system 'IRCTC iPay' in a bid to promote digital transactions.
The exclusive digital payment gateway will provide a better digital experience and improved online digital payment convenience to rail passengers availing of online travel-related services through the website, IRCTC had said in a statement.
