‘This Came Sudden’: Delhi Wakes up to Dense Smog, Flights Delayed

Dense fog that engulfed the national capital on Monday, 4 February, left several flights delayed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport and 27 trains running late. However, no flights have been cancelled or diverted as yet.

Major pollutants PM 2.5 at 206 and PM 10 at 216, both in 'Poor' category, were measured at the Lodhi Road area, according to the Air Quality Index (AQI) data.

‘This Came Sudden’: Tweeple on Smog

As people woke up to the dense smog, Twitter users came running to social media to share their experiences. Twitter user Vimal Sumbly tweeted out a video of how the Delhi airport runway looked like from his flight.

Others tweeted out photos of the fog.
