1. 11-Yr-Old Allegedly Rapes Minor, Sent to Juvenile Home: Ghaziabad Police
A five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an 11-year-old boy in Ghaziabad on Friday afternoon, 9 November. Additional Superintendent of Police (rural) Arvind Kumar Maurya said, “An FIR has been registered against the juvenile under IPC section 376 (rape) and sections 4 and 5 of the POCSO Act. The accused has been sent to juvenile custody and will be produced before the juvenile court on Monday (12 November). We are questioning locals for more details.”
Police said the parents of the two minors work as daily wage labourers. According to the complaint filed by the victim’s father, the two children would often play together. On Friday afternoon as well, police said the children were playing together. “The juvenile took the girl to a deserted spot within the vicinity and allegedly raped her before fleeing the spot,” said a police officer.
According to police, residents of the colony saw the girl lying in a pool of blood and alerted her family.

2. Afghan Held With ₹3.4Cr Forex at IGI
An Afghan man was arrested at Delhi airport for allegedly trying to smuggle out foreign currency worth Rs 3.4 crore. The accused, a resident of Parwan (North Kabul), was intercepted on Saturday, 10 November, when he was about to depart for Dubai. He was attempting to smuggle out USD 4.5 lakh (equivalent to Rs 3.4 crore) by concealing it inside a harmonium, which had a special cavity for concealment.

3. Domestic Help Found Dead in Delhi’s NFC
A 30-year-old woman who worked as a house help in Ghaziabad was found dead at a friend’s home in New Friends Colony in Delhi on Sunday morning. Police said the death appears to be accidental and the body has been sent for post mortem.

4. Uttar Pradesh Riot Accused Dead, Cops Probe Revenge Angle
An accused in the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots, facing charges over killing of eight members of a minority community, was found dead at his home in Kutba village on Saturday afternoon (10 November) of gunshot injuries. Ramdass alias Kaala, 42, was out on bail. Police are probing if the death was a result of revenge killing, with Kaala’s brother alleging some gunmen had barged into his home and shot him. Kutba was one of the worst-hit villages in the riots.
Looking for clues, the police raided a rehabilitation camp in nearby Palda village, where the Muslims of Kutba had moved after the riots five years ago. The police have put mobile phones of people at the camp under watch to trace their location at the time of the death. Additional police and PAC personnel have been deployed in Kutba as “precautionary measure”.

5. Man Shoots Friend in Rohini Over Debt
A 32-year-old man was found dead with a bullet injury at his friend’s flat in Rohini Sector 18 early on Sunday morning, 11 November. According to police, the victim’s friend confessed to having murdered him and surrendered at the police station. The pistol used in the crime has also been recovered.
The deceased was identified as Yoginder Yadav (32). Yoginder had lent money to the accused, Vijay Yadav (35), who owned a food joint. “On Saturday night, Vijay along with Yoginder and several other friends were having alcohol at his flat. By 11:30 pm, everyone had left except Yoginder and Vijay, who continued consuming alcohol,” said a senior police officer.
Police said the two were in an inebriated state during which the deceased asked Vijay to return the Rs 2 lakh that he had given him a long time back.

6. Guard Killed Over Mobile Phone Theft Suspicion
A 50-year-old security guard was stabbed to death by his neighbour after the latter suspected him of stealing his phone while they were drinking together in central Delhi’s Anand Parbat on Saturday night, 10 November. Cops said that the accused fled after attacking him.
The accused has been identified, police said. They said that the victim and the accused often drank together and on Saturday night, they had an argument after which the accused stabbed him with a knife.

7. Cobs Nab Snatchers with Raftar Bikes
Patrolling with the recently-inducted multiutility Raftar motorcycles helped Delhi Police nab two snatchers from west Delhi’s Kirti Nagar last week. According to the police, with the arrests of the proclaimed offenders, 13 cases of snatching and theft has been solved.
The accused were identified as Harpreet Singh (27), a resident of Tilak Nagar and Honey
(26), who lives in Khyala. Cops said that Singh was involved in over 50 cases of snatching and robbery, while his associate, Honey, has been involved in around 20 criminal cases.

8. Tata Steel Manager Murder: Faridabad Cops Arrest Accused
The Faridabad police on Saturday night, 10 November, arrested Vishwas Pandey, accused in the murder of Arindam Pal, a senior manager at Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Limited (TSPDL), who was shot dead Friday afternoon.
Pandey was arrested from Sainik Colony on Faridabad-Gurgaon Road, said Vimal Kumar, in-charge, Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), Sector 17. “He had planned to leave the country between November 11 and November 15 and was to join a company in Singapore, but we nabbed him before that. We have recovered the weapon used in the crime and 18 rounds from him,” Kumar said.
The accused was produced before a court Sunday which remanded him to three days police custody.

9. Case Against Narela Zone Officer for ₹3.82 Crore ‘Fraud’
A deputy director from the education department of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation has filed a case with the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police against a school inspector rank officer of Narela zone for the alleged misappropriation of ₹3.82 crore, the police said Sunday. A complaint has been filed against the officer for allegedly withdrawing and issuing cheques to his relatives.
According to a complaint filed on November 8, the inspector, Rajender Chaurasia, had misappropriated municipal funds of ₹3.82 crore, a senior police officer said. Chaurasia had allegedly illegally withdrawn and issued cheques from November 2016 to March 2017, the officer said. According to the complaint, the cheques were encashed by the accused and his family.
