4. City-Based Doc Accuses Husband of Marital Rape

In a distressing case, a woman from the city has lodged a complaint against her own husband, accusing him of marital rape, besides alleging that his family members harassed her.

While the husband, a doctor, owns a gym on Bhandarkar Road and resides on Prabhat Road, the woman originally hails from Buldhana district, and is also a doctor.

6. 19-Year-Old Lynched For ‘Stealing Phone’

A 19-year-old youth, Rahul Panchal, was allegedly beaten to death by four men as they suspected him of stealing a mobile phone. The incident occurred in Surya Nagar in Vikhroli West on Sunday, 18 November evening. The four accused have been arrested, of whom three are brothers. Family members of the victim have said that Panchal did not steal anything and that the accused are local goons who used to harass the victim.

7. Duo Held For Hurling Abuses, Making Lewd Gestures at Women

The Amboli police on Monday, 19 November arrested two businessmen for allegedly hurling abuses and making lewd gestures at a group of women who were trying to park their vehicle outside a mall in Andheri West. The accused, identified as Romy Kohli and Bunty Madhrani, were nabbed after the complainant brought the matter to the notice of the cops through social media.

A 50-year-old man who operated a rickshaw service to drop children at schools was arrested by Mumbai Police on Saturday, 17 November for allegedly sodomising an 11-year-old boy . The police are checking if the accused had sexually assaulted any other students. The accused, who has been ferrying children for the past one decade, is now in police custody.
