Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the nation on Tuesday, 30 June amid COVID-19 outbreak, said, "Ever since Unlock 1 started in the country, negligence in personal and social behaviour has been increasing. Earlier, we were more cautious about the use of masks, 'do gaj doori' and washing hands several times a day for 20 seconds."

The number of coronavirus cases in India rose by 18,522 to 5,66,840 on Tuesday, 30 June, while the death toll increased by 418 to 16,893. According to the Union Health Ministry data, there are now 2,15,125 active cases across the country, while 3,34,821 patients have been cured or discharged, and one has migrated.

Late on Monday, the Centre announced guidelines for Unlock 2, which have to be implemented till 31 July, with the night curfew being further reduced from 10 pm to 5 am.

Railways to Expand to 350 Local Trains in Mumbai

Minister of Railways says it will expand to 350 local trains in Mumbai from Wednesday, ANI reports.

As identified by the State government, essential staff including employees of Centre, IT, GST, Customs, Postal, Nationalised Banks, MBPT, Judiciary, Defence and Raj Bhavan will be allowed to use the services, says railways.
