The police has recovered a mobile phone and a razor blade from the scene. The mobile phone has reportedly been formatted as there were no contacts or call records found in it by the police. The police found a few pictures in the phone which are now being investigated.

The couple has been identified as residents of Kaiser Bagh. The girl’s family had lodged a missing person’s report at the Kaiser Bagh police station after she did not return home for over 24 hours.

The boy was pursuing an animation course from an institute in Surajdeep Complex. According to witnesses, the two often met in the locality and were allegedly having an affair.

The police has also found a love letter written by the girl to the boy. The caretakers of the complex said that the terrace door was always locked and that it would be impossible for them to enter the terrace without having a key or breaking the door.

The police is monitoring the CCTV footage of the complex to look for any suspicious happenings in the vicinity. The police has not yet ruled out possibilities of an altercation between the two or murder.
